Reflections by the Stage Door May Palmer is nationally recognized as possessing one of the truly great singing voices of today! Whether a live performance or studio recording calls for the stylistic demands of jazz, blues, gospel, show tunes, rhythm & blues... even a soul stirring rendition of the 'Star Spangled Banner', only one name stands tall among the rest: May Palmer.

May was taken under the wing of legendary Los Angeles based, vocal coach Seth Riggs whose students include among others 'Michael Jackson', 'Stevie Wonder' & 'Natalie Cole'. Upon hearing May's voice for the very first time via her debut CD he remarked: 'May's voice is amazing!"

May has been wowing domestic and international audiences for over ten years with her passionate performances. She has performed for sold out crowds at the 'Apollo Theatre' in New York City. She has also appeared as a featured performer in the showrooms at the 'The Riviera', 'The Luxor' and the 'Excalibur' casinos in Las Vegas. May was brought in as a headline act at 'The Voice Club' in Nagoya, Japan and 'Black Beard's Castle' in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. She has also appeared on BET's
nationally broadcast program "Jazz Discovery" and has been the opening act for 'Bo Diddley',
'The Rippingtons' and smooth jazz legends 'Spyro Gyra'.

May's studio album credits include her original self-penned Debut CD, 'You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet' (R&B, 1994), 'Setting the Standards' (Jazz/Blues, 1999), 'Hymns To Him' (Traditional Gospel, 2002).
In 2005, May's latest release 'Mo' May: A Celebration of the Motown Era' once more demonstrates May's incredible vocal versatility as a singer of classic R&B repertoire.

In 2004 May performed in the Northwest to many well-received public performances. 2004 found her performing at such high profile venues as the Tulalip Casino Showroom, 'Choochokum ', 'The International Festival' at SeaTac, a 13 week engagement at The Italianissimo Jazz Bistro, featured performances at The Vesper's Show Room, 'Jazz & Oysters' and a televised performance at Seattle Center's New Year's Eve on television station Q-13. Her powerful, enthusiastic rendition of the 'Star Spangled Banner' was heard on national television in addition to the over 67,000 appreciative Seattle Seahawk fans at Seahawk Stadium on November 2nd. In 2005, May Palmer continues to be an in-demand singer/entertainer in both the public and private sectors.
